Vitamins
Vitamins are substances that the human body cannot produce on its own. As vitamins take directly or indirectly part in many metabolism activities, they have to be fed in addition with the nutrition.
There is a difference between water-soluble and fat-soluble vitamins.
The fat-soluble vitamins are, i.e.: vitamin A, D, E and K. The vitamins B, C, H and the folic acid are related to water-soluble vitamins.
Fat-soluble vitamins can only be taken by the body in combination with the fat of the food. That's whay, the vitamin A, i.e., can be find in meat, fish and milk products.
The water-soluble vitamins can hardly be stored in the body.
In order to prevent deficiency symptoms, a constant and lasting supply with both kinds of vitamins is essential.
